Adine Rachel Wilson (née) Harper (born 8 June 1979 in Hawera, New Zealand) is a New Zealand international netball representative.[1]

Personal background

Harper attended Turuturu School, Hawera Intermediate School and Hawera High School. She is married to Jeff Wilson, former New Zealand dual rugby and cricket player. Wilson has two sons; Harper, born 2008 and Lincoln, born 2010. Wilson is a lawyer by profession.[2]

Domestic career

During the National Bank Cup, Wilson started for the Otago Rebels, while finishing her law degree, she signed with the Southern Sting in 2000 and played right through with them until 2007, picking up 7 out of the ten National Bank Cup titles. In 2008, when Netball NZ announced a new Trans Tasman competition including Australian franchises, Wilson pulled out of the new Southern franchise based in Invercargill, New Zealand because of pregnancy. She has been included as captain for the 2009 season.

International career

She debuted for the Silver Ferns in 1999 at just 20 years of age and became the captain in March 2005. She started her playing career as a shooter, moving to the mid-court to concentrate on the Wing Attack position in the past few years.

She captained the Silver Ferns from 2005 to 2007, highlighted by captaining the gold medal winning Silver Ferns side that beat Australia at the 2006 Commonwealth Games.
